5 things that could save 205 Live

It was the WWE's new baby, fresh from the CWC tournament the revitalised 205 live division had promise and potential. Sadly me like many others aren't impressed. With viewing numbers on the decrease here's 5 ways it can be saved

5. Change the name

Now this is a small little change, but the name 205 live to me sounds bad and isn't catchy at all. I'll be mentioning New Japan Pro Wrestling a lot in this post but it's because they're perfected their cruiserweight division. Their cruiserweights are classed as juniors or junior heavyweights. This makes them sound more important and part of the whole picture rather than a side project

4. High PPV positions and more variety

Surely this one is just common sense. If you give the division more time they have the chance to show the world what they can do. Recently cruiserweights have been chucked in 6 man tags or boring championship story lines. A way to battle this would be giving them their own writing team for stories and pushing them higher up the PPV card so more people notice them

3. More grown up belt

Another big problem is that belt. Am I the only one that finds it ugly? Dark purple, I'm sick of them forcing that down our throats with the 205 division. A more professional looking belt similar to that of the Junior Heavyweight belt from New Japan would make people take the division a lot more seriously. I get it's PG WWE but the belts aren't toys

2. Allow them to do the moves they want!

One of the reasons the CWC tournament was so popular was because of breath taking high risk moves. So what does Vince Mcmahon do, ban most the moves... Great. I get there's more chance of injury but if they're doing normal moves they blend in with the rest of the roster. This isn't good because it's meant to be the big new exciting thing. LET THEM BE CRUISERWEIGHTS

1. Bring in more big names

How do you get more eyes on a match? , by using big names. Now I agree you need to build up current name cruiserweights is a must  but while this is happening you need to bring big stars in to. Imagine how many people would want to see Rey Mysterio make his re-debut and go for the title. Or Ricochet, Gargano or Osperey debuting. This would naturally get interest in the product
